Lighting experiments:
As a group, we experimented with different lighting that we can use in our film opening, we experimented with different light sources, such as sunlight/natural light, lamps, and fairy lights. We then experimented these different light sources from different angles to create shadows and more highlighted areas. In the natural light, we moved the camera to create the shadows and highlights in the photos too.
Filming and editing log:
Our first filming day:
During our first filming day, we had travelled around Bristol and captured shots of landscapes that we wanted to have included in our film opening which we would use as our establishing shots, this would show our audience our location in this film etc...
We took time out of our school day to do this since we were walking all around Bristol capturing shots that would be used throughout our film, this day was extremely successful since we had captured many shots that we knew would be useful to use and we could also use as evidence to show we had travelled around the city to capture a selection of different shots that we could choose from.
Our second filming day:
On our second filming day, we filmed from 11am up until 8pm, this was extremely helpful and productive as we were able to get majority of our filming done. We had completed actual filming for our film opening during this day despite the major fall back from being able to travel to Devon and film it there.
We then realised a few changes we could make to the storyline and we were able to take time out of a school day to film parts for these filming changes, and then managed to rearrange our new ideas into the original film. We had gone to Ruby's house and filmed some of the new parts that we needed, then when we returned to school later on that day we had edited these new clips into our original film and rearrange parts of it too.
